Sofia brings curiosity, adaptability, and a people-first mindset to her work at The Debt Defenders. With a background spanning customer experience, operations, education, and international roles, she has developed a sharp ability to translate complex processes into clear, human-centered experiences for both clients and teams.
She joined the firm in 2021, back when it was still in its early stages, and quickly became a key part of its growth. As the firm’s first Virtual Assistant, Sofia helped lay the groundwork for what would evolve into a thriving, highly collaborative remote team. Her impact can be seen in the structure and evolution of the Intake department—where clarity, trust, and meaningful communication are not just goals, but standards.
Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sofia’s path has been anything but conventional. She spent several years living and working across Europe, including Denmark, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom—experiences that shaped her global perspective and strengthened her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Whether navigating different cultures, industries, or challenges, she thrives in environments that require both flexibility and initiative.
Now based in Patagonia, she embraces a lifestyle much closer to nature, balancing her work with a deep appreciation for animals, plants, and the outdoors. Outside of the firm, Sofia leads a parallel career as a certified tea specialist and instructor, working with an international tea academy where she teaches, mentors, and shares her passion for the craft.
Known for her multifaceted interests and relentless curiosity, Sofia is always learning, always building, and always looking for better ways to support the people around her. She is proud to be part of a team that fights for individuals seeking a fresh start—and to contribute to work that genuinely changes lives.
